#Day 2

Today the site group started the day inside, looking at the drawings and the 3D model. Since a lot of the construction is prefabricated it is important for us to be really precise when measuring up the foundation points so everything will fit without too much trouble. When we came to the site the sun was shining and most of the snow where our construction is going to be was melted away. At least we thought. After a lot of measuring and trigonometry we were ready to make the first holes. That´s when we discovered that what we initially thought was mould with solid rock under was a lot of gravel, roots and stones. This is making the foundation work a lot harder so we looked for alternative placements for the construction. Tomorrow 4 students will join us from Begna so hopefully we can decide the placement tomorrow and start to make the foundation points.

At the factory, the work is going quite fast and we got a first jack-pot ! Cutting off the end of one massive wood element we hit a screw... Beautiful nice tectonic detail would Finn say (maybe) ! The elements are in process, we hope we will be ready before sunday to go to the site. Four of us were picking up 900 slates stones. They had to dig them out from the ground (where they were stuck since 30 years) so they had to clean them and chop them to get the right dimension. Nice work out in the sun!
